We have compiled a number of frequently asked questions to support you when using our services. If you have a question regarding our site, which has not be addressed below, then please get in contact with our team.
What is a funeral notice?
A funeral notice is a notice page in which is dedicated to the deceased and is where the family can publish the funeral service details. Enabling the families to gain information on the service, without the need to share this information on a one by one basis. Not only do our funeral notices allow the families to publish funeral information, they also allow the families to share the obituary, to share memories and photographs of their loved-ones. We also allows those who are invited to the funeral notice, to upload their own photos along with leaving messages of condolence and the ability to light a virtual candle in memory of the deceased.
How much is it to publish a funeral notice?
It is completely free of charge to list a funeral notice on our site. We do not charge for this service and encourage all to use the service in tribute to their loved-ones lost.
How long will my funeral notice be listed?
We do not actively remove funeral notices from our site. The funeral notice will remain in place unless the administrator removes it or requests that it is removed by our team.
What should I include on my funeral notice?
When you create the notice, you will be prompt to firstly add the ‘basic information’. Here you can add the name of the deceased, life dates, upload a photo and you have the option to add the obituary or share some words in honour of the deceased. You will then be able to add the funeral service information in the next tab. There is also an additional tab for you to add photographs and videos, should you wish to. Please note, the photographs and videos uploaded to this notice will be public and we do not recommend sharing any content in which is private.
What photo should I use?
Main Notice Photo: We recommend using a portrait photo of the deceased, ideally with only the deceased in frame. However, it any photo in which displays their characteristic and holds a happy memory would be appropriate for the notice. If you do not wish to share a photo of the deceased, then we recommend uploading a photo of a flower, or a happy place in which meant something to them, such as a landscape from a favourite destination.
Under ‘Photos and Video’ Tab: Administrators and guests can upload photos to this section. Allowing family and friends to share in happier memories, allowing the family to view photographs they otherwise might not have had access to.
It is important to note that our funeral notices are public and we ask that you to this into consideration when uploading photographs and videos to the notice pages. We ask that you respect the privacy of others and that you get permission from others included in the photographs when sharing publicly. We do not condone content in which can be deemed offensive or that portrays the deceased in a negative light. In these instances, the administrator, or the owners of the site, will have them removed.
