  She had a heart big enough for the whole world — and probably a second one just for making sure everyone was well-fed. Food was her love language, no doubt about it. You could tell her you'd just eaten, and she'd still whip up a full platter "just in case." Even if you were bursting, she'd look at you like you still had room. And somehow... you always did. She had this way of turning every trip to the supermarket into a social event. Stopping to chat with strangers like they were long-lost friends — that was just who she was. Happy, loving, and always ready for a conversation (whether you wanted one or not!). Any time I hear a clock ticking at night, I think of her spare room and those sleepovers — tucked up in bed, belly full, probably with a biscuit she snuck in there just in case I got hungry later. She had a way of making you feel safe, seen, and completely cared for — and those memories are the ones that'll stay with me always.

  I am so sorry for your loss. You will all miss Barbara very much. I really liked your Mum. She was open, friendly and energetic. I admired her ability to manage four very lively boys with patience and good humour. She loved being a Mum. Wishing you comfort in the weeks ahead. Susan - Nichola's Mum x
