It's been a long journey since we met Carla being my brother's partner over the years we welcomed you into our family with open arms, and you became my sweet sister-in-law πŸ’œ God knew your worth of genuine kindness and love. My condolences to all the family. May she rest in peace. Much loved by the many people she met throughout her life. A big Bob Marley fan and Rasta Sista as I knew her. Always looking for the sun shine when clouds are on the horizon.

It was a pleasure knowing you, Carla. When I started working at Tuke you took the time to greet and welcome me. Always polite to ask what my students would like to eat. You always shown kindness and patience in a challenging environment. You have made an impact in our school and we will all miss you. Thank you for being the kind and warm person that you were.

I know Carla as the dinner lady at Tuke. Carla was more than just the friendly face behind the hatch; she was the heart of the dining hall. Her jokes and banter brought joy to so many as they queued for their meals. I have such fond memories of her sharp wit and warm humor, which made even the longest days brighter. Carla's generosity and care stood out, especially during those times when I needed a little extra energy. While students' meals were always her priority, she never hesitated to offer me something from what remained, if there was anything left. It was a simple act of kindness, but it meant so much. She wasn't just serving foodβ€”she was serving kindness, community, and love. Her spirit made Tuke feel like home.
