From Jo Worsley Was Brooks I am so sorry to hear this news today, I have wonderful memories of Jake (to me Jacob) and us being at Instow primary school together, my thoughts are with you all at this sad time. X From Rich Clough Jacob was a big part of my primary school life and friendship group as an infant and junior. Sorry to hear of this. I have a memory... I recall we played a football tournament against much bigger schools called the Merton Rally, and Jake as well as Andrew Cotton were so strong players that they worked together and got us all the way to the final, against much bigger schools. We lost the final, but still, we hit well above our weight at that Merton Rally. From Stephen Keen So sorry to hear this I was at Instow school with Jacob as well he and his brother Joshua lived near my farm at the time. Take care X

We remember Jake as a kind, caring, calm, intelligent and easy going person in the short but memorable time we spent together. He had a lovely smile and someone whom I would consider trust worthy. Both Tina and myself are devastated that Jake and Gemma's journey here in Shropshire has ended like this but we will remember you Jake with fond memories and have found a true friend in Gemma. I can't put in to words the sadness of Jake passing he was the kindest gentlest bloke you'd ever meet. I first met Jake camping in lovacott playing field I must of been 10 or 11 Jake would have been 14- 15 I guess. We have since then been good friends I will cherish all those memories we had together and with others for ever especially the latest which was for my 40 th where a lot of our dearest and nearest were there. My deepest sympathy for all the family. Lots of love to you all Rest easy Jake see you on the other side buddy x

I'm sad and shocked to hear of Jacobs passing. We shared the same primary school and remained friends throughout those early years into our teens and throughout our 20s. He was a kind, fair and gentle guy. He loved nature and we loved fishing together off Instow quay as kids, good times! Although we lost contact when he moved away from Bristol he was always someone that I could easily reconnect with regardless of how much time had passed. My thoughts to his family at this difficult time.

I shall always hold a special place for Jake in my memories. He was a gentle man. Always calm. I will always remember the music we went to see together and the shared love of enjoying our amazing friends. Travel far and wide Jake, explore the mystery. I send all my love to Gemma and Jakes family at this incredibly sad time, and of course to Jake.

Jake came into my life because of his relationship with my best friend Gemma. We had plenty of good times together but one particular weekend sticks out. After an all nighter with some of the gang, dancing to Mungo's hi-fi on a Bristol weekend away, Jake and I discovered that we had both attended CofE type schools , so we knew a lot of the same hymns. Some of the Sunday recovery time was spent singing these at the top of our voices, much to our friends bemusement. "One more step along the world I go" was our favourite. Jake gave the best hugs, his politeness and good manners shone through in his very last moments and I will be eternally grateful to Jake for loving my best friend so fiercely. My love and condolences to his family, Gemma and his friends. His soul lives on in all that loved him and I feel so blessed that I got to see him before he left us. Rest easy Jake. You were definitely one of the good ones ✨

Although I only knew Jake for a short time, I will never forget him. I'm grateful I got the chance to know him as both a colleague and a friend. My thoughts are with Gemma and his family at this sad time.

I have many fond memories sharing most of our 20's together. Walking, fishing, adventures, dancing, laughing. Jake was a awesome character with a big heart and he remained a good friend to me after we broke up. I will always hold a place in my heart for him. RIP lovely man. Sending masses of love to his amazing family Xxx
