Uncle Rich. The only person that could tell the same joke again and again and somehow it got funnier every time. You could tell a story about anything and make it funny. I will never forget singing your songs at drunken family parties, the profiterole eating competition one Xmas day or that lethal, homemade damson gin. You will be missed by all that knew you. Rest In Peace Uncle Rich. Becky, Ben, Eva and Skye. Xxxxx

You will be very much missed by us all. One of my memories was me coming round to the house to ask to borrow the hedge trimmer but in actual fact it was to ask for your blessing for me to propose to Bex....was so nervous but you were so happy for us all. You stayed strong right til the end with your family by your side. Karen, Bex, Ryan and Sharon were amazing and made it as comfortable as possible for you. We will make sure we look after Sharon. Sleep well Rich and will alway be in our thoughts. As the twins say.....you will be able to see the ducks up in heaven🥹 ❤️

Very sad news to hear of your passing Rich, or Fletch as I always called you. Why change it now... Fondest memories of the many fishing trips we had, Dart nights and funny times we shared at work. You were and will always be remembered for the great character you were. My thoughts are with your family at this very sad time. Steve

What can I say about Uncle Rich, too much to fit on here, but I will never forget when you took me along to one of your fishing competitions, you made me call you Big Rich in front of all your mates and said if any one asks why I'm calling you Big Rich I had to say it's because all the fish he catches are so big. Or that New Year's Eve when I must have been about 8, I made you and dad drink 40 odd cans so I could build a tower out of the empty's for you two to smash it down come midnight. You will certainly be missed, RIP Big Rich, Lots of love, Graham, Zoe, Sammy & Jason 💔xx

I didn't know you for as long as many others, however, I met you and we made a connection through our ducks. You gave me lots of valuable advice and helped me to pen in my garden by giving me a roll of spare chicken wire that you had. I always had a laugh with you, like everyone that met you will always be in my thoughts and sorely missed. Becky x

"We call on old Richard to sing us a song, sing, sing or show us ya ring" just one of the many things you taught me haha. Always was the life and soul and the biggest joker of our family gatherings !! Never thought I'd say I'd miss the beer mat on the nose trick haha. The one memory that will always stick with me and I tell many about this is when me and Becca acted out our made up play about a witch and a cat on Halloween and you called us pretending to be Steven Spielberg and wanted to make our play into a Hollywood film bearing in mind we had all just watched Jurassic Park at the cinema a few weeks before so we knew exactly who he was haha, Thanks you for such great memories ❤️🤣 RIP Uncle Rich xx

Rich, you'll be sadly missed by many. Working together all those years ago to sharing a pint in more recent years never failed to bring laughter. You loved a wind up and equally loved a moan which made you the special character you were. My thoughts are with all your family at this testing time but knowing you're now at peace makes it easier. Sleep easy x

You will be greatly missed rich, god bless you 💙💙 All our love the brolly girls 💙

  • 25/10/2024

Such an incredibly funny man. My time working at the Brolly, listening to his stories. A garden gnome that stole his cider had me in tears. A true family man and a true gentleman.

Uncle Rich, taken way too soon, will always remember your funny jokes and loud trumps, the joker at any party especially when you started belting out your funny and crazy songs. Give Nanny a cuddle from me, shine bright up there. Lots of love. Hayley, Tyler and John xxx

Another kind soul taken way too soon 💔 memories filled of joy and laughter, parties at mum and dads with you eventually staggering back across the road (occasionally through the hedge 😂)!! Helping dad to rescue me from a slightly desperate plumbing situation to stop the indoor waterfall last year! A brilliant neighbour and even closer friend, you will never be forgotten by any of us, rest free of pain and know how loved you are ❤️ Katie, Chris and Pheobe xxx

Dad, there are no words but I'm going to try. You were larger than life with your jokes and craziness but beyond that you were a Dad to me, when someone else didn't want to be. I'll never ever forget that or you. The girls will sure miss their Grampy too but we'll all share stories & memories of you. Love you Dad xxx

Hey Rich, Words cannot say how heartbroken I am that you will be no longer in our lives. Always the joker, from fake Cornish pasties and fart machines 😂 Never a dull moment when you were around xxx Tommy will always remember you as he loved to come round to visit you and feed the ducks 🦆 Matt had a little chuckle the other day when he recalled the curry night we had where you covered your face in coffee and wore a towel on your head as a turban emulating an Indian 😂 As I said always the joker who brought a smile to our faces xx We will miss you greatly, you will be forever in our hearts and in our thoughts xx Gone but never forgotten xx All our love Sarah, Matt, Ellie and Tommy 💙

Ah Paps, what will we do without your silly dad jokes, silly noises and your larger than life presence? We'll miss you so much! Walks on the beach, pints overlooking the sea, walks in the winter woods and Christmas dinners squashed in our tiny kitchen. Trips to garden centres, meals on the estuary and checking out the community food cupboards in Hayle. Lol. Love you Dad x Karen, Steve, P and Ruby doo x
