I'm so saddened and sorry to hear about Stephen passing away bless him. The last time I saw him we were 16 and still at school, so a very long time ago, but will always remember what a kind and lovely young man he was. He had a heart of gold and had lots of good friends that he loved to laugh and joke with, loved music and was always in the record shops buying the latest records. Thinking of all his family and friends, rest in peace Stephen, you will be so missed ❤️❤️xxx

Anyone who knows you Steve will remember your love for Tamla Motown, Stevie Wonder and Northern Soul along with your extremely quick wit and ability to turn any situation into a party! But more than your love of music was your love for Twink, Kylie, Kala, Kieran, Neve and Daario. You worked hard for them and always supported them in all they have done - a true family man. You will leave a huge gap in life and be sorely missed, but never forgotten - the stories of love and laughter are endless. Shine bright Steve - love always. Cari and Kev xxxxx

Both Angie and I were so sad to hear about Steve passing away. I'm disappointed to say that Steve and I had lost touch in recent years, that's something I'll always regret. We both shared some good times whilst in our teens and beyond. We all know how Steve loved his Northern Soul and Tamla Motown. I recall with great fondness seeing Steve walking up my garden path wearing baggy trousers ( we all wore them!) and a smart jacket, but at the same time clutching his record case which would be full of "45" singles. We'd spend hours listening to each others record collections, although mine was better than his!😀 He had a great sense of humour and made me laugh so much of the time. As I write this message the memories are flooding back. He'll be truly truly missed. Rest In Peace old mate, I'll never forget you❤️...

I was so shocked and saddened to hear of Stephen's (a.k.a Cleggy) passing. I was a close friend of Steve at Hastingsbury School, we also worked together after school and Saturday's at Henry Bavistors butchers shop which was positioned next to the Mulberry Bush in Kempston. We also socialised together after work, Steve had many close friends, and was well liked, I always remember him laughing, he also loved his Soul Music and Dancing. My thoughts are with his Family and Friends at this really sad time. Steve Anderson.

From Dave & Sue We were so saddened to hear Steve had passed away; we offer the family our sincere condolences. What can I say about Steve, so many good memories. Steve liked a laugh he didn't take himself too seriously. I believe nothing changed over the years. I can vividly remember in my youth drinking with Steve at Kempston Rovers, Cast Aways, Soul Drop Turn and Cutler Hammer. A common theme unfolds 'beer' and music. I remember it like it was yesterday! Steve, rocking his baggy trousers and T-shirt, dancing at Kempston Rovers to those timeless tracks like Gil Scott-Heron's "The Bottle" and R. Dean Taylor's "There's a Ghost in My House." What unforgettable scenes! 🎶💃 Rest in Peace. Steve
